How long does it take to put on a new roof?
This all depends on the roof size, number of layers and the weather. Usually for a mid-size home with one layer we can have it removed, shingled, and finished in 1-2 days.
How do I know if I need a tear-off or just a re-roof?
We recommed that your old roof be removed before installing a new one. Often there is rotten wood that needs to be repaired or replaced. The only way to truly know is to remove the existing roof and look. Usually an older existing roof has bumps and curled shingles that may show through on the new roof. If you only have one layer and decide you don't want a tear off we usually list a seperate price to perform only a re-roof. If you decide to shingle over an existing roof, we recommend using a 30-year or an architectural shingle. This reduces the bumpiness associated with a reroof.
No, we use dump trucks. We clean up and remove all debris each day on the job so you will be able to use your driveway right away.
